The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are tied 2-2 heading into Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

And, at this point in the postseason tournament, almost every player is dealing with some sort of injury. This includes Jayson Tatum, who recently suffered a shoulder injury.

However, the Celtics star had a positive update on his ailment ahead of Game 5 in Miami. Celtics reporter Keith Smith tweeted the news Wednesday afternoon.

This is great news for Boston, a team struggling with multiple injuries to the stars in its starting five. As the leader of the Celtics, Tatum's presence on the court is crucial at this point in the series. In the postseason, he's averaged 27.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.

Tatum suffered the shoulder injury in the Celtics' Game 3 loss. He was diagnosed with a cervical nerve impingement in his right shoulder. The small forward was able to play through it in Game 4, putting up 31 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in the win.

The Celtics did not include Tatum on their Tuesday injury report. Meanwhile, Marcus Smart and Robert Williams are both questionable for Game 5. Smart is dealing with a right ankle sprain, and Williams has left knee soreness.

Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals is Wednesday night in Miami, and this series is either team's to win. The team that comes out of this series victorious will face off against either the Golden State Warriors or the Dallas Mavericks in the 2022 NBA Finals.
