Fresh off of his very impressive win at this year's edition of the Skills Challenge, Boston Celtics sophomore sensation Jayson Tatum was absolutely beaming with confidence. So much so, that he guaranteed that the Celtics are going to win this season's NBA title.

Well, that's a pretty bold statement right there, Jay. To be honest, we're not sure it's one that you can back up.

The Celtics are unquestionably one of the top teams in the NBA today, but at the moment, they're not even the best team in the East. The Boston front office decided against taking part in the recently-concluded trade deadline fiasco, with the belief that their current side already has what it takes to go all the way.

The other top two contenders in the conference made some big moves on the deadline, with the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks adding more firepower to their already formidable lineup through the acquisition of the sharp-shooting Nikola Mirotic from the New Orleans Pelicans.

For their part, the Toronto Raptors added arguably the missing piece to their championship-seeking side by trading for former All-Star big man Marc Gasol.

And we're not even going to talk about the defending champs here.

As for the Celtics, there continue to be more questions than answers. They have been a shadow of the outstanding side they were last season, and although they are adamant that they will eventually figure things out, there is now some doubt to this notion given how far along we are in the season already.
