With the All-Star break in the rear-view mirror, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics now set their sights on the playoffs. At third place in the Eastern Conference, the Cs have cemented themselves as solid contenders.

With a deep playoff run expected, Tatum challenged himself and the rest of the team to improve on certain things before the regular season ends.

“Just not getting complacent. Obviously, we're not perfect. We can get better in every area of the game,” Jayson Tatum said. “Continue to play with a sense of urgency every night from the beginning, not waiting til the third or fourth quarter.”

In only his third season, the 21-year-old Tatum has quickly developed into a legitimate star and arguably Boston's best player.

The 6-foot-8 forward is averaging a team-high 22.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from deep on nearly seven 3-point attempts per game.

The former No. 3 overall pick has stepped up his game even more in recent weeks and is coming off a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday in which he tied his career-high 41 points.

The Celtics are playing very solid basketball as of late, winning 12 of their last 13 games and sitting just two games behind the Toronto Raptors for the East's second seed.
