Boston Celtics small forward Jayson Tatum is expected to play against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday after missing the previous game.

Tatum didn't play versus the LA Clippers on Monday due to soreness in his right shoulder. Celtics head coach Brad Stevens told local reporters on Wednesday Tatum is fine.

Boston went 3-1 on their West Coast road trip. They are 41-27 on the season now, which is good for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

In 67 games this season for the Celtics, Jayson Tatum is averaging 16.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists. The 21-year-old is shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 87.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Tatum has eight double-doubles on the season. The Celtics are 41-26 when he's in the lineup, as Monday's game against the Clippers was the first game Tatum has missed all season.

The West Coast road trip was a success for Boston. Now, the team is hoping to carry the momentum they gained for the rest of the season. It's been an up and down season for the Celtics, but they still have the talent on the roster to win the Eastern Conference.

Boston is back home for three straight games before going back on the road.
