Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving appreciates Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant breaking his game down on “Detail,” Bryant's show on ESPN+.

Irving has talked about how Bryant is one of his mentors in basketball. After Irving won the 2016 championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he facetimed Bryant from the locker room, thanking The Black Mamba for the advice he gave him.

Irving and the Celtics will take on the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the playoffs. It's going to be a fun matchup between two of the best players in the game: Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Irving.

The Celtics swept the Indiana Pacers in the first round. Irving was his usual spectacular self. Uncle Drew averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.8 assists while shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 42.3 percent from beyond the arc and 88.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Irving put up 37 points in Game 2, leading the Celtics to a comeback victory at home. It was a performance which probably made Bryant very proud of his pupil.

After missing the 2018 postseason because of knee surgery, Irving is thrilled to be playing in this year's playoffs. The Celtics' top player is built for the bright lights and is eager to lead Boston on a championship run.
