Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving is no longer listed on the team's injury report after missing Monday's 113-100 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Tom Westerholm of MassLive. Irving's absence was only the second one of this season, a rather welcomed sign, given his battle with knee issues during the latter part of the 2017-18 season.

Irving suffered an AC joint strain in his shoulder against the New York Knicks, but played through the injury against the Chicago Bulls, ultimately sitting out against the Pelicans on Monday.

Head coach Brad Stevens didn't sound too concerned with the injury prior to the game:

“Kyrie, I think, is going to fine long term and he felt a little bit of stiffness today,” said Stevens. “So I would expect that he'll be day-to-day.”

The Celtics have now won six straight and could get their floor general back on the court for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards, as Gordon Hayward is still doubtful with an illness and center Al Horford and Aron Baynes are both listed as questionable with injuries of their own.

Stevens has managed Jaylen Brown brilliantly with a move to the bench, as the third-year shooting guard has posted 21, 23 and 19 points, respectively, since returning from injury, all with less of 30 minutes of playing time.

The return of Kyrie Irving should only help the Celtics extend their winning streak against a Wizards team that is struggling to claw its way back into playoff contention.
