Following their 97-92 defeat against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics have now extended their losing streak to four consecutive games. The issues within the team might be more pressing than the Celtics would like us to believe. However, Boston forward Marcus Morris remains steadfast in his belief in his team and has recently guaranteed the Celtics faithful that their squad will get out of this slump sooner rather than later.

Much like his other Celtic teammates, Morris himself had a forgettable evening on Wednesday against Damian Lillard and company. The 29-year-old Boston power forward notched only eight points on 3-of-10 shooting. Morris went 0-of-6 from deep, but was able to somewhat salvage his line with seven rebounds and an an assist.

Celtics talisman Kyrie Irving was on point in the highly-anticipated matchup against two of the top point guards in the league today, as the former Rookie of the Year winner came up big with a 31-point performance. Unfortunately, it was all in vain as the Celtics suffered their fourth loss in four games following the All-Star break.

Nevertheless, the C's are still sitting comfortably on the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference with a 37-25 record. There is still a good part of the regular season remaining and as Morris promises, there's still a lot of time for the team to try and get it together before the playoffs. They will need to do so soon, though, as their current form will likely lead to an early exit in the postseason.
