After the Boston Celtics took down the Miami Heat in Game 7 to secure their spot in the NBA Finals, Marcus Smart made sure to remind their doubters what they said about them earlier in the season.

The Celtics didn't have the best start to the campaign after Ime Udoka took over and they tried to integrate the new additions to the team. At one point, there were even doubts if they can turn around the season and actually make the playoffs given how bad they played compared to the rest of the East.

During that time, there were calls for the Celtics to trade Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart since their partnership with Jayson Tatum just wasn't working.

By the new year, however, things changed for the better and they were able to finally find their groove. They slowly climbed the East standings, eventually settling for second with a 51-31 record.

Now that the Celtics are heading to the NBA Finals, Smart took to Twitter to highlight that the Celtics are a family that doesn't quit on each other.

Sure enough, Celtics fan or not, you got to love the journey Marcus Smart and Boston took to reach where they are now. Perhaps only a few Beantown faithful believed they can actually compete for the championship, but they really worked hard to make it a possibility.

The job is far from over for them as they face the Golden State Warriors next. But like what the Celtics have done all season long, it's time for the fans to believe.
