The Boston Celtics made an impressive comeback in Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks in what was a complete team effort. But if there's one player to highlight for going above and beyond what was needed of him, it was Al Horford.

The Celtics veteran matched Jayson Tatum with a team-high 30 points. 16 of those came in a crucial fourth quarter turnaround where Boston outscored Milwaukee 43-28. Big Al was clearly the difference for the visitors as he poured in a new playoff career high at the ripe, old NBA age of 36.

The age-defying performance was not lost on Marcus Smart. The Celtics guard sent out a sincere dedication to Al Horford, and a request to the higher powers to allow him the same skill and dexterity when he gets to the same age.

“When Im almost 36 years old, please Lord, please let me be just a fraction of the player that Al Horford is! I mean- what an absolute amazing teammate and player. Big team win fellas,” said the Celtics star.

Al Horford has the luxury of having had an old-man game even during his best years with the Atlanta Hawks. The Celtics big man has always used his high basketball IQ and defensive instincts as opposed to explosive athleticism in order to make an impact.

But Al Horford also deserves all the credit for staying in elite shape and developing necessary skills, such as a reliable outside shot, in order to age like fine wine in an NBA that skews younger and younger each year.
