Jayson Tatum came up big for the Boston Celtics on Thursday as they held off Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies for a 120-107 victory. Tatum dropped a team-high 37 points against a surging Grizzlies side to secure Boston's fourth win in their last five games.

Tatum scored 19 points in the fourth quarter as he almost single-handedly fended off a comeback attempt from the Grizzlies. After the game, Celtics guard Marcus Smart dropped some words of wisdom on how to best handle Tatum whenever he catches fire (h/t Celtics on NBC Sports Boston on Twitter):

The message was pretty straightforward from Marcus here. All he does on these occasions would be to “stay out of his f—-ng way and let him do his thing.” It's as simple as that. This may sound hilarious but it's actually quite accurate. Whenever Tatum gets hot like this, you just let him work his magic. And this is exactly what he did on Thursday.

The Celtics are now fifth in the East after surpassing the Cavs, who are now one game behind Boston in the loss column. Tatum and Co. face a tough test on Sunday when they take on Brooklyn Nets, who incidentally, just got Kevin Durant back.
