The investigators of the Twitterverse have done it again. They have found an old tweet from an athlete that somehow relates to what's going on in that player's life at the current moment. The latest victim is Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving.

After the Celtics lost to the New York Knicks at home Wednesday night, Kyrie Irving said he doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. However, the fine people of Twitter found a Tweet from 2011 that says Irving used to celebrate the holiday.

Kyrie Irving has Native American roots from his mom’s side. He was given the name Little Mountain by the Standing Rock Sioux tribe earlier this year. Irving’s mom passed away when he was a little kid. Thanksgiving is viewed by many to be a celebration of the conquest of Native Americans by colonists. It’s a very controversial holiday in some parts of the world, and Kyrie Irving clearly doesn’t like it.

Irving recently discovered his mom's roots, so maybe the All-Star guard used to celebrate the holiday. One thing is certain: The investigators of Twitter are really undefeated. They seem to find old tweets all the time. It's remarkable how they are able to find these Tweets which are so relevant to what is going on at the moment.
