The Boston Celtics took the NBA world by surprise when they jumped out to a 2-0 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. However, their early success is what ultimately led to their downfall in Game 3 with a 30-point loss.

Fortunately, point guard Terry Rozier is not too distraught with the embarrassing defeat. In fact, according to Brian Robb of BostonSportsJournal.com, Rozier feels this kind of loss was just what Boston needed to stay focused:

“We needed to get our butts whupped, come back to reality, and take care of business on Monday.”

It is encouraging to see that Terry Rozier is not too bothered by Boston's lackluster performance in Game 3. However, there is some concern as to why an underdog like the Celtics would approach any game unprepared, especially with three days off.

It is no secret that Boston was essentially written off the moment they advanced to play Cleveland. However, they managed to leave the Cavaliers shell-shocked after a dominant win in Game 1, which had carried over into their second win of the series. This could be why Boston felt they had every advantage going into Saturday's matchup.

Unfortunately, it did not end in their favor.

Their recent loss was also representative of how poorly the Celtics have played on the road in the postseason. Despite their prowess at home, they have largely struggled as visitors throughout the playoffs. Although they have managed to secure the series lead, for the time being, the Celtics may eventually need to steal a win on the road if they are to have any chance of beating the Cavaliers in this series.
