The Boston Celtics are considered one of the better teams out in the Eastern Conference. But rumors reveal that behind closed doors, the Celtics players lack of cohesion — and it's taking its toll on the team.
According to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, the Celtics' locker room issues are not new to people around the league. Rumors reveal that the players lack the chemistry that most elite teams have. Though there's no real tension between them, they don't share a tight bond either.

They currently sport a decent 35-21 record for fifth place in the East. Despite this, many analysts consider them to be underperforming given that they made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals in last season's playoffs. Take note that they did this feat without Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. They heavily relied on then-first-year man Jayson Tatum during their playoff campaign.
Now that their roster is complete, they should be at the top of the East standings, according to various analysts. Not only do they possess a potent scorer in Kyrie Irving, but they also have a new and improved Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Not to mention Hayward, who's shown sparks of his old self in several games.
Like most talented teams who can't seem to unlock their potential, the problem lies in chemistry. This may be the main challenge for the Celtics this season. How can they co-exist smoothly and utilize their talents?
