Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa was fined $15,000 for one of his two roughing the passer infractions in Week 11 against the New York Jets, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

While the Chargers won the game against the hapless Jets, Bosa's pockets took a hit.

The NFL has made it a point to protect quarterbacks and punish defenders for brutal hits. It's not always fair, but for the most part, the league has done a good job of staying consistent with its calls.

In eight games this season for the Chargers, Joey Bosa has recorded 4.5 sacks and 14 solo tackles. While the Chargers are likely going to miss the playoffs this season, the team is just happy Bosa has recovered from his concussion and is back on the field making plays.

Los Angeles will take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 12. The Chargers will be huge underdogs in that contest since the Bills are 7-3 and atop the AFC East standings. They have one of the best offenses in the NFL with quarterback Josh Allen and wideout Stefon Diggs leading the way.

Even though the Chargers are going to miss the postseason in 2020, the team has a bright future with gunslinger Justin Herbert in the fold. The rookie has 22 touchdown passes on the season and has racked up 2,699 passing yards.
