Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert had a sophomore campaign that sure caught the attention of many in the NFL, including Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons.

In speaking to ProFootballTalk, Parsons was asked to single out any player on the offensive side of the ball who simply stood out to him in his rookie year. Without much hesitation, he went with the second-year quarterback.

“He got a rocket of an arm,” Parsons said.

When the Chargers and Cowboys met early in the regular season, Herbert did not have his most efficient game, as he threw a pair of interceptions and notched an 87.2 passer rating. However, Parsons did watch as Herbert showcased his arm strength over the course of the game, which included completing a keen 42-yard pass to wide receiver Keenan Allen in the third quarter.

Over his opening two seasons in the NFL, Herbert’s stout arm strength sure was on display a multitude of times. For one, he recorded 12 30-plus yard passing touchdowns, which included a trio of 70-plus yard such passes.

As mentioned, Herbert orchestrated a standout second season in the NFL, which included breaking the record for the most touchdown passes (38) in a season in Chargers franchise history.

Herbert sure will enter the 2022 campaign with a chip on his shoulder after the Chargers just missed out on playing playoff football this season.
