Chelsea is desperately chasing the signature of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, but it seems unlikely he will leave Germany this summer. However, they've been handed a boost when it comes to signing another proven attacker.

According to the Daily Star, Barcelona will offer Antoine Griezmann to the Blues as they aim to offload several players in order to fund a new contract for Lionel Messi. It's no secret that Barca is in serious financial issues and Chelsea could surely benefit.

Thomas Tuchel's side needs a proven goal-scorer after Timo Werner and Kai Havertz failed to live up to expectations last term. Griezmann would bring experience and a whole lot of flair to the Blues frontline, having scored 20 goals and registering 13 assists in 51 appearances for the La Liga giants last season.

Chelsea's number one priority is a striker and the Frenchman would certainly be a decent fit at Stamford Bridge. To boot, Tuchel was very keen on the former Atletico Madrid star when he was in charge of PSG.

Man City is another club that could potentially be in the running for Griezmann, but their focus remains elsewhere as they try to sign Harry Kane and Jack Grealish.

Chelsea, this is your time to pounce. While Antoine Griezmann has a £683 million buyout clause, it's believed that he would be available for just a fraction of that and the Blues definitely have the money to bring the player to London after winning the Champions League.

This would absolutely be a valuable attacking reinforcement as Chelsea aim to lift the Premier League title next season.
