Per Nahe Gregorian of the Kansas City Star, former Chiefs football legend Johnny Robinson has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Early on in his career for the Chiefs Robinson played halfback for the team. For his entire career, he ran for 658 yards and six touchdowns. He also caught 77 passes for 1,228 yards and nine total touchdowns.

All of these accumulated offensive stats happened in the first three years of his career. The rest of his career was spent at cornerback, where he was utterly dominant. He led the league in interceptions twice, with 10 apiece. He had a total of 57 interceptions for his career with 10 forced fumbles.

He was one of the most impactful defenders in the league during the 1960s.

The rest of the HOF cast was also announced. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, this is the a new group of former NFL players that have now made it into the pro-football Hall of Fame.

This list is highlighted by three players from the modern era: Champ Bailey, Tony Gonzales, and Ed Reed.

Bailey was a three-time First-Team All-Pro and two-time Second-Team All-Pro. For his entire career, he had 908 tackles, three sacks, 174 pass defenses, 52 interceptions, and seven forced fumbles over 15 seasons.

Gonzales was a 14-time pro bowler and a six-time All-Pro tight end. He had 13 seasons with at least 800 receiving yards and 14 seasons with at least 70 receptions.

Ed Reed is a nine-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro and 2004 defensive player of the year. He led the NFL in interceptions three times.
