Travis Kelce made history on Sunday, as he helped the Kansas City Chiefs to a 22-16 win over the Denver Broncos.

The 31-year-old tight end caught 8-of-13 targets against the Broncos for 136 yards, which allowed him to surpass the 1,000-yard mark for the fifth straight season. There were more than a few congratulatory messages for Kelce for his historic feat, and one of them came from none other than Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

The four-time NBA champ took to Twitter to honor Kelce for his astounding achievement on Sunday:

Travis Kelce quickly caught wind of LeBron's compliment and responded with his own shout out for The King:

Kelce scored the only touchdown of the evening for the Chiefs on Sunday, as he carried on with his impressive form of late. Denver struggled to contain the five-time Pro Bowler, and it resulted in Kelce leading Kansas City to their fifth consecutive victory.

It is worth noting that Sunday marked Travis Kelce's fifth 100-yard game of the season. As mentioned in the tweet above, the two-time All-Pro TE has now logged five straight seasons with at least 1000 yards. Needless to say, Kelce remains to be one of the best players in the entire league in his position. It could be argued that KC would not be where they are right now without the outstanding play of their star tight end.

The Chiefs now improve to 11-1 on the season. They will return to action on Sunday in a matchup against the Miami Dolphins. That matchup should present itself with another opportunity for Kelce to build on what has been another amazing campaign for him.
