Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is already an NFL MVP, Super Bowl MVP, and this offseason he broke a record with the richest contract signed in sports history.

However, according to NFL Network's annual “Top 100” players list, the 24-year-old Kansas City Royals part owner isn't making any headway, landing at No. 4—the same spot he was at last year, too.

Mahomes, a former 10th overall pick by the Chiefs in the 2017 NFL Draft, has leapfrogged into the spot as “best quarterback” in the league by consensus, cementing his greatness by leading the AFC West club to their first Super Bowl appearance and victory in 50 years last season, culminating in the big game win in Feb. 2020.

However, according to the NFL, Mahomes still fares worse than a few other players in spite of signing a 10-year contract earlier this month worth upwards of $500 million. NFL Network has yet to reveal the final three “top” players, but Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (last season's MVP) and Seattle Seahawks passer Russell Wilson have not been name, signaling they will get the nod as two of the top three on the “Top 100.”

Perhaps Patrick Mahomes' steady ranking will further motivation the quarterback to new heights in 2020.
