Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is widely considered as one of the top tight ends in the game today. He gets to face off against another all-time great TE in Rob Gronkowski on Sunday when the Chiefs take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.

Kelce, who himself has a deep respect for Gronk and everything the veteran has done in the sport, recently expressed how the Bucs star has played a significant role in his own development as a player. According to Kelce, Gronkowski's “dominance” through the years has served as motivation for him to improve his game. Moreover, Kelce also admitted that he's tried to incorporate certain aspects of Gronk's game into his own.

Nevertheless, coming into Sunday's highly-anticipated matchup, Kelce intends to set the mutual admiration aside. Talking to the media during a press availability session, Kelce stated how the fact that the Chiefs have yet to defeat the Bucs in the postseason is something that weighs heavily in his mind right now:

“I’ve never beat Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady in a playoff situation, and I’m very aware of that,” Kelce said, via Josh Alper of NBC Sports.

Needless to say, Kelce will want to do something about this record come Sunday. The 31-year-0ld Chiefs star, who himself has had a tremendous campaign for Kansas City, will certainly do everything in his power to try and lift his side to victory, and in the process, make sure that Gronk and Co. come out on the losing end in what should be an epic battle between two top sides.
