Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been dealing with a hamstring injury but the severity of it has been deemed minor, according to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network.

Rapaport described the injury as one that a team would be cautious with during training camp, but shouldn't cause an issue long term. Hill left Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers during the first quarter. According to Rapoport, Hill wanted to go back into the game but the training staff wouldn't let him.

The Chiefs are on a bye this week so there is a chance he won't be sidelined for any game action as a result of the injury. Kansas City was still able to defeat the Chargers without Hill, but the offense wasn't all that impressive, especially at the receiver position.

Tight end Travis Kelce had the most yards in the game catching seven passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. The top wide receiver in the game was Sammy Watkins who caught two passes for 26 yards. There is a clear need for Hill's production to open up the field for the team's other receiving threats.

Hill wasn't the only player to suffer an injury against the Chargers and Andy Reid provided an update after the game on running back Damien Williams, safety Jordan Lucas, center Austin Reiter and running back LeSean McCoy.

“Damien Williams hurt his ribs,” said Reid via Arrowhead Pride. “They’re looking at those as we go here. Jordan Lucas hurt his shoulder. So Reiter came out but went back in… and then LeSean, I’m not sure exactly all what happened there but something with his head. So I’m not sure exactly what the final decision was there.”

The bye week seems to be at a perfect time for the Chiefs with some key players needing to recover from various injuries.
