The Kansas City Chiefs have maned to get out to a comfortable lead against the Chicago Bears on primetime in Week 16. It appears wide receiver Tyreek Hill has managed to make franchise history in the process.

According to Chiefs PR, he surpassed wide receiver Otis Taylor as the fastest player to reach 4,000 yards in Kansas City:

With that reception, WR Tyreek Hill is over 4,000 receiving yards for his career. He is the fastest Chiefs player to reach 4,000 career receiving yards, accomplishing it in 58 games. Otis Taylor previously held the mark at 59 games

Hill has managed to join some rather elite company by passing Taylor's historic mark. It is safe to assume that many more franchise records are on the way considering the hot start to his career.

Hill has quickly established himself as the fastest player in the NFL. More importantly, his speed translates to the field, and head coach Andy Reid has made sure to utilize him s one of the league's most explosive players. His reputation as a premier deep threat has paid huge dividends for his offense as a whole.

Hill might have broken the record even sooner if he was able to stay healthy during the 2019 NFL season after missing a few games due to injuries. Regardless, Kansas City's cautious approach with his recovery should pay off as they get set to head into the playoffs as one of the top seeds in the AFC. He may need to set a few historic postseason marks as well if the Chiefs hope to make a run at the Super Bowl.
