There's still three months before the 2018 regular season kicks off, so minor injuries at this time of year aren't all that concerning. Still, no fan wants to hear about a star player, like Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill, suffering a setback.

The track star and standout playmaker routinely flies by the opposition on the outside, but he's going to have to take it easy for a bit after twisting his ankle in Thursday's practice, per Chiefs reporter BJ Kissel. He was held out of drills for the rest of the day.

Understandably, the Chiefs will be cautious bringing Hill back into the fold with a few months still remaining before Week 1. Ankle injuries can easily be aggravated, so taking the necessary time to ensure that Hill's 100% is the obvious course of action.

The West Alabama product shined as a rookie in 2016 (named First-Team All-Pro punt returner), but he truly broke out in his sophomore campaign, transitioning from more of a gadget role to a full-time wide receiver. He stopped returning kickoffs and cut down on his punt returns while dramatically increasing his receiving yard total from 593 his first year to 1,183 in 2017, which led the team. His 15.8 yards per reception were tied for 10th in the NFL, and he also added seven receiving touchdowns while making his second Pro Bowl.

Alongside new addition Sammy Watkins as well as fellow stars Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt, the Chiefs have the potential to be one of the most dynamic offenses in the league in 2018. Of course, a lot will hinge on the play of second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who assumes the reins of the offense with the departure of Alex Smith.
