Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has put a patent on a number of flashy passes throughout his career. It appears he is adamant about adding the behind-the-back delivery to his repertoire in the 2020 NFL season.

Mahomes recently went viral by showing off the pass as part of his training regimen. It seems he had already laid the groundwork for it during training camp in 2019, via Tyler Greever of WHAD11.

Mahomes received his due and proper by becoming the highest-paid athlete in sports this offseason. Despite his newfound status as the reigning Super Bowl champ and former MVP, he clearly has no plans to switch up his fun approach to the game.

The question remains whether or not head coach Andy Reid is comfortable enough to draw a viable play to use in the game out of it. Considering the plethora of peculiar throws he has pulled off thus far, he may very well be the only quarterback capable of pulling it off.
