This year's MVP race has been one of the tightest in years and has divided the opinion of a lot of people. Many believe it's between Russell Westbrook and James Harden as they have stepped up their game to a whole new level this season.

Apparently, fans also raised the bar in terms of trolling as well.

During the game between the Houston Rockets and L.A. Clippers, Harden heard fans from inside Staples Center chant the name of the Oklahoma City Thunder guard, as they tried to throw him off his game. That wasn't how they treated him through the entirety of the evening though, as he also received a warm reception from the home team's supporters during warmups.

With the regular season almost over now, the discussion on who deserves to win the award more has intensified. Westbrook has strengthened his case as he notched his 42nd triple-double of the year on Sunday, which is the most in a season in NBA history. He also secured averaging double digits in points, rebounds, and assists last week and became the first player to achieve that feat in 55 years.

Harden on the other hand is continuing to have his best season, as he is on pace to finish second in scoring with 29.1 per game, to go along with 8.1 rebounds, and a league-leading 11.2 assists per game. He has also led the Rockets in locking up the third seed in the tough Western Conference; a feat that not a lot of people saw coming.

The Rockets and Thunder are slated to meet in the first round of the playoffs, giving fans the opportunity to watch the two MVP favorites battle head-to-head in what should be an explosive series.
