Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. was ejected Tuesday night after receiving a flagrant 2 foul. Morris appeared to hit Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant in the face as he was driving to the basket.

Morant lay on the ground in pain after the hard fall. After Morris hit Morant in the face, he looked to attempt to hold him from falling on the back of his head. But that might have made it worse as the Grizzlies star fell awkwardly.

The optics of the situation do not look good for Morris. The Clippers were trailing by 22 points late in the third when the incident occurred. Morris is all too familiar with drama on the court. He has been having an on and off spat with Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic. Jokic shoved his brother, Markeiff, to the floor in a game back in November, creating a twitter feud between the two families.

Morant would remain in this game and sink both free throws. He would end up having another spectacular game for Memphis. Morant finished with 30 points on 12 for 19 shooting. He added seven rebounds and five assists in the 135-109 blowout victory.

It was the Grizzlies third straight win and the sixth in their last seven games. Memphis improved to 38-18 on the season, firmly in third place in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, the Clippers fell to 27-29 on the year. They are tied with the Los Angeles Lakers, but are percentage points ahead of them for the #8 seed. If the season ended today, the two Los Angeles franchises would square off in the Play-In Tournament.
