The L.A. Clippers are largely expected to keep Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic despite a loaded backcourt, according to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

Teodosic exercised a $6.3-million player option last month and was rumored to be on the outs due to the depth at the position. The Clippers had until Sunday to waive the dime maestro, guaranteeing only a third ($2.1 million) of his salary.

L.A.'s roster has 17 players, two above the maximum of 15 before the start of regular season. Eight of those 17 are guards under contract, including Teodosic.

The Clippers still have the impending contract of restricted free-agent forward Montrezl Harrell, who is yet to agree to terms with any team.

Teodosic played 45 games last season after being one of the most highly-touted talents from Europe. He posted 9.5 points and 4.6 assists in 25.2 minutes per game while shooting 41.9 percent from the field, and a sharp 37.9 percent from deep during his rookie season in the league.
