Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Lou Williams left the Orlando bubble because his grandfather passed away.

Williams took to social media to announce the sad news.

Clippers, Lou Williams

Williams will have to be quarantined for no less than 10 days and must have two negative coronavirus tests before he can rejoin his Clippers teammates on the basketball court.

The same goes for Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell, who also left the bubble to tend to family matters.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, the Clippers racked up the second-best record in the West. Williams was averaging 18.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists for the team while shooting 41.6 percent from the floor, 36.3 percent from beyond the arc and 86.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The seeding games are set to start on July 30. The Clippers will take on the Los Angeles Lakers in their first game back. LAC went 2-1 against their LA rivals before the NBA hiatus, though the Purple and Gold defeated them in the most recent matchup.

Once the 2020 playoffs start, most NBA pundits believe the two Los Angeles teams will meet in the Western Conference Finals. For now, though, thoughts and prayers are with Lou Williams and his family as they mourn the death of Paul G. Williams.
