Los Angeles Clippers point guard Milos Teodosic is hinting at a return to Europe this season. The 31-year old playmaker is seeing his minutes drastically dip with the return of Patrick Beverley to the lineup and the emergence of prized rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Eurohoops.net's Antonis Stroggylakis wrote about Teodosic's failure to crack consistent minutes this year, including the Serbian's comments in an interview with Glas Amerike.

“I think I definitely won’t stay here because… I came, I saw how it looks and somehow… I enjoy more and it’s nicer for me to play in Europe. So, I will return to Europe for sure, will it be during this season or at the end, we’ll see.”

With an 11-6 win-loss card, the Clippers have surprisingly vaulted themselves to the top of the Western Conference. However, they are doing it with Teodosic sitting on the bench for the most part of their games.

Teodosic's offensive flair was on full display in his first year with the Clippers. His flashy passes and on-court vision exhilarated NBA fans as he averaged 9.5 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.8 rebounds last season.

Still, it could be his weakness on the other end of the court that spelled his sudden fallout from head coach Doc Rivers' rotation. Beverley has long established himself as a 3-and-D player, while Gilgeous-Alexander's brimming potential is just too intriguing not for the Clippers to give him minutes.

If Teodosic indeed pursues his plans to return to Europe, it would be a bittersweet moment considering how fans have long awaited his arrival in the NBA. But he is still young at 31, and European clubs won't hesitate to put up offers for the Serbian playmaker.
