The Indianapolis Colts are winless to start the preseason, so it is absolutely time to panic. While that is tongue-in-cheek, it isn't totally satirical when it comes to the outlook of the Colts' season. There is still a cloud of ambiguity surrounding the health of Andrew Luck and head coach Frank Reich has essentially left the decision to come back up to him.

While Luck was spotted warming up on the field prior to last week's game, Jacoby Brissett has been preparing as QB1 for the time being.

Questions surrounding the franchise quarterback aside, the Colts haven't looked terrible in their two losses if you can get past the inordinate amount of penalty flags thrown in the NFL preseason. Saturday's matchup with the Chicago Bears will be another chance for guys fighting for roster/starting spots to show Reich they are ready for the upcoming season.

Here are three players worth keeping a watchful eye on as the Indianapolis Colts host the Chicago Bears in preseason Week 3.

deon cain

3. Deon Cain, Wide Receiver

Deon Cain is coming off of his best performance in a Colts jersey in the Week 2 preseason loss to Cleveland. Cain, a sixth-round pick out of Clemson in the 2018 NFL Draft, is still working his way back from an ACL tear that kept him out of action for his entire rookie year. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound wideout is fighting for a spot on the roster at a position where the Colts need depth, especially since Daurice Fountain will miss the entire 2019 season with an ankle injury.

After catching two of his four targets for 15 yards in Week 1 against the Bills, Cain racked up seven catches on nine targets for 80 yards. The uptick in targets always helps in the preseason and Cain really helped himself with his Week 2 performance. It will be interesting to see if he gets a similar number of targets against Chicago and if he can put another strong performance on tape.

2. Any Colts RB

The main takeaway so far from the preseason Colts is the dire lack of a running game. If indeed Andrew Luck does have to miss regular season starts, the Colts will have to give Jacoby Brissett a running game to work with. The Colts have a good offensive line, thanks in large part to Quenton Nelson, that should be able to produce a decent running game.

So far in the preseason, Nyheim Hines and Marlon Mack have combined for 20 rushing yards in limited reps. That is not going to get it done for the Colts offense. The Colts brought in former Chiefs running back Charcandrick West this week to add to the backfield.

One bright spot so far has been the play of Aca'Cedric Ware. First, great name. Second, Ware is currently listed fifth on the Colts' depth chart but he has gotten the most carries in each of the first two preseason games. If he gets the lion's share of carries against the Bears, he could secure a spot on the Week 1 roster.

Rock Ya-Sin, Colts

1. Rock Ya-Sin, Cornerback

First, great name. Second, Rock Ya-Sin appeared in the starting lineup in Week 2 against the Browns, which was a good sign for the rookie defensive back out of Temple. The Colts' second-round pick has a lot of hype surrounding him and he is fighting for the starting nickel spot in the secondary.

Ya-Sin is a physical defensive back and his pass breakup skills should prove useful in his rookie year. I will definitely have my eye on him this week. If we see him in the starting spot again, I think that will be very telling of Frank Reich's game plan for him moving forward. He is an exciting prospect and the Colts' secondary could really use a spark from a player like Rock Ya-Sin.
