The Indianapolis Colts might be on the brink of making another move, but the team has been fairly quiet in free agency despite coming into this offseason with the most cap space. The team will be visiting with linebacker Aaron Lynch to bolster their defensive unit and possibly establish a pass rush heading into 2019 season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

The Colts have a solid defense with their current roster, but most of their success came by way of linebacker Darius Leonard and the surprisingly solid secondary. Although the team has great pieces for defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus to work with, the addition of a proven player like Lynch could help the team reach the next level.

Darius Leonard is without a doubt the defenses' best player and proved to be an incredible steal after the 2018 draft. The other linebackers are not quite up to par so if Lynch can help provide the Colts with a pass rush and solid tackling ability, that's all they can hope for from the six-year linebacker. While Lynch's stats won't jump off the sheet necessarily, his ability to make plays and the knowledge he has at the position could be very valuable for a team that is ahead of schedule with their current roster.

Once the defense gets on track and can emulate the offense, the team's roster will become a lot close to completion. After a successful 2018 season, the Colts are primed to repeat their success next season, and a winning culture could be something they can expect to see for the foreseeable future.
