Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri struggled in the teams opening week game against the Los Angeles Chargers, but is excited to get another chance to play on Sunday.

Vinatieri missed two field goals and an extra point in the Colts' six-point loss to the Chargers and although the team hasn't talked about bringing in another kicker, it could be a possibility if he continues to struggle.

Vinatieri was asked about the pressure of his losing his job on Thursday, and he said he feels like everyone is playing for their job every week.

“Past experiences don’t mean anything moving forward,” Vinatieri said, via Stephen Holder of TheAthletic.com. “But there’s been bad days along everyone’s road, and you just move on. . . . I’m excited to play another game for sure. Hopefully, we’ll have plenty of attempts, because that means we’re having a bunch of scoring opportunities, and that’s a good thing.”

Vinatieri knows it's been a rough patch, but he hopes to get back on the right track on Sunday in Nashville. He also pointed out for as long as he has played everyone is going to to have a lousy game at one point, but the key for him is to make sure that it's just one game, and doesn't continue for a couple of games.

“Unfortunately, if you play long enough, you’re gonna have a lousy game once in a while,” he said. “That was a lousy game, but I’m working my butt off this week to get back on track.”

This is a big week for the future Hall of Famer as he tries to get his season back on track.
