The NFL has suspended Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Antonio Garcia for the first four games of the 2019 NFL season for violating its PED policy.

NFL.com national insider Ian Rapoport tweeted the development on June 10.

The Indianapolis Star's Joel A. Erickson confirmed Garcia's suspension on Monday.

Colts offensive tackle Antonio Garcia has been suspended without pay for four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, the NFL announced on Monday.

A former third-round pick by the New England Patriots in 2017, Garcia spent the second half of last season on the Indianapolis practice squad.

Antonio Garcia may find himself out of a roster spot in 2019. According to Garcia, the Colts “are deep on the offensive line.” Aside from the five starters, Indianapolis has Joe Haeg, LeRaven Clark, Evan Boehm, and J'Marcus Webb.

Garcia can practice and take part in preseason games for the Colts, per the Indianapolis Star. Should he make the 53-man roster, he cannot practice or take part in the team's first four regular season games.

This is the Colts' second suspension during the offseason. The league has suspended backup quarterback Chad Kelly for the first two games of the 2019 NFL season for violating its personal conduct policy.

Erickson says this stems from an arrest in Denver. In that incident, Kelly allegedly trespassed in a woman's home in the aftermath of Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller's Halloween party.
