The Indianapolis Colts are hoping to get back on track with a favorable home matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen if Jacoby Brissett will make his return under center.

Brissett has been a limited participant in practice after suffering a knee injury in last week's loss versus the Pittsburgh Stelers. According to Stephen Holder of The Athletic, Brissett says he will be a game-time decision:

Jacoby Brissett was limited today and “we'll take it right up to the game” in terms of deciding whether he plays.

“I'm encouraged… But we have to make the right decision.”

Although Brissett was able to provide an encouraging update on his health, it is clear that he plans to take a cautious approach with his return. As a result, it seems he plans on testing his footing prior to kickoff before officially declaring his status.

There is no question that Brissett's potential absence would deal a crushing blow to this offense. He has already managed to establish himself as a bonafide replacement for quarterback Andrew Luck with his stellar play in the 2019 NFL season. It is for this reason that the Colts are looking to do what they can to ensure that he does not further aggravate the injury.

Indianapolis is already without wide receiver T.Y. Hilton due to a calf injury. If Brissett is unable to go, backup quarterback Brian Hoyer will get have to make do once again with the weapons at his disposal. Hoyer did a solid job of filling in for Brissett against Pittsburgh after completing 17-of-26 passes for 168 yards and three touchdowns.
