Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne will forever be immortalized by his franchise.

The Colts announced that Wayne will be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor at Lucas Oil Stadium during the 2018 season.

“No one is more of a true Colt than Reggie Wayne,” Colts owner Jim Irsay said in a statement released by the team. “He embodies everything about the Horseshoe and is much beloved by Colts fans everywhere. He was also one of the greatest players in NFL history, and chants of ‘REG-GIE, REG-GIE’ will forever echo through our stadium along with memories of many amazing catches and exciting plays. I could not be more proud and honored to induct Reggie Wayne into the Colts Ring of Honor.”

Along with Marvin Harrison—a former teammate, no less—Wayne is, arguably, the greatest at his position in organizational history. He played 14 seasons with the Colts while raking up 211 games (most in franchise history), 1,070 receptions, 14,345 yards, and 82 touchdowns.

The University of Miami product ranks 10th in NFL history in receptions and receiving yards and is tied for 23rd in the category of receiving touchdowns.

Even more impressive than his regular season stats is his prolific play in the tournament. In 21 playoff games, he snagged 93 passes for 1,254 yards and nine touchdowns. Of course, he's also a Super Bowl champion, helping Peyton Manning capture his first Vince Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 41.

Wayne will become the 15th member to be inducted into the Colts Ring of Honor joining the likes of teammates Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Edgerrin James, head coach Tony Dungy and all-time greats such as Marshall Faulk.
