Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is in the midst of what he has dubbed his best training camp yet. It seems he is not the only after wide receiver Deon Cain has managed to make waves this offseason.

The Colts have ushered in plenty of depth to their receiving corps. According to Kevin Hickey of the Colts Wire, Hilton made sure to point out Cain when praising the group as a whole:

“I’ve been very impressed. They’re going out there competing at a high level, they’re going out there showing they know their plays and I’m just excited for them to be able to go out there and play at real game speed,” Hilton said Tuesday. “Especially, Deon (Cain) and all the hard work that he’s put in and he’s going out there making plays.”

It is encouraging to see Cain bounce back strong after missing his entire rookie year with a torn ACL. Hilton added that he and his teammates are motivated by Cain's work ethic.

“It’s very inspiring, just him being able to show his emotions and him being back out there,” said Hilton of Cain. “I know he’s put in a lot of hard work, a lot of time, a lot of training, a lot of getting his body back right how he wants it. I know confidence continues to build for him. So, I’m very excited.”

The Colts have managed to secure plenty of depth behind Hilton this offseason. Wide receiver Devin Funchess figures to serve as the No. 2 option in the passing game. However, the pecking order beyond that still has yet to be determined

Cain put in quite a bid with his performance against the Cleveland Browns in their second preseason game. The former sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft finished the game with seven receptions for 80 yards in the Colts' loss.

If Cain can continue to show this kind of promise over the final two preseason games, it is safe to assume he will be getting even more acquainted with Hilton as the year goes on.
