The Indianapolis Colts took a huge step forward last year. After a really down 2017 that led to the firing of Chuck Pagano, they bounced back in a big way. Andrew Luck is officially back and over the shoulder injuries that plagued him, and new coach Frank Reich has injected some much-needed excitement into the team.

The Colts made the playoffs and won a first round game against the Texans before falling to the Chiefs in the Divisional round. They were aggressive in looking to upgrade this offseason, such as when they signed receiver Devin Funchess away from the Panthers.

Current Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton is very pleased with the progress the team has made, and had some thoughts on the 2019 season.

“This offense,’’ Hilton said Tuesday, “going to be scary, man,” per Mike Chappell of CBS 4 Indy.

The Colts added an additional weapon to their receiving corp during the draft, when they took Paris Campbell from Ohio State in the second round.

“As a coach you always think, ‘Hey, we don’t need anybody else. We already got the best guys in the world playing for us. Now you’re giving us more?” Reich said. “This isn’t fair. It’s not going to be fair.’’

The Colts already had a great offense in 2018, so Hilton might be right. The biggest problem for the Colts last year was that their secondary receiving options weren't that good, and teams were selling out to stop Hilton.

Now with Funchess and Campbell in the fold, that shouldn't be as much of a problem.

Hilton is a smaller receiver, so the larger Funchess will be a nice complement to his skills.
