Terry McLaurin wants the Washington Commanders to show him the money. The talented wide receiver, the best offensive weapon of the Washington Football Team in 2021, is reportedly going to miss some offseason activities with the team in an effort to put some pressure on the Commanders to give him a lucrative extension, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Second-round picks that include WRs Deebo Samuel, A.J. Brown and Terry McLaurin are not expected to participate in their teams’ on-field off-season programs because they want new contracts at a time this off-season when WR deals have exploded, per league sources.

It's also worth noting that the events the players are planning to skip are not voluntary activities. While it's virtually harmless after all, it's a way for the Commanders wideout to send a message on top of the numbers he's put up in Washington uniform. McLaurin has not failed to impress even with underwhelming play at the quarterback position during his three-year stint so far with the Commanders.

Since being taken in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the former Ohio State Buckeyes have come up with 3,090 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns on 222 receptions. He's also mustered two consecutive 1000-yard seasons since his rookie year, and that's while playing with quarterbacks like Garrett Gilbert, Kyle Allen, Dwayne Haskins, and Taylor Heinicke.
