Friday was one of the craziest days in the history of the transfer window with Cristiano Ronaldo reuniting with Manchester United 12 years after he left the club for Real Madrid. It's going to be an absolute delight to see the 36-year-old back in the Premier League and clearly, a lot of people are excited. Even UFC star and lifelong Red Devils supporter, Conor McGregor:

McGregor has always been a follower of the club and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Irishman even spoke in 2019 about his love for Man U, with Irish legends Roy Keane and Denis Erwin donning the United shirt in the past:

“I was attracted to the success and winning mentality of the club and people surrounded by United. Irish legends like Denis Irwin and Roy Keane were dedicated to their craft and had that winning mentality. Roy Keane was one of the best midfielders European football has ever seen. Opponents would be mentally beaten before they’d even stepped on to the pitch to face him.”

Cristiano Ronaldo played a crucial part in the club's success during his first spell at Old Trafford, winning three PL titles and a Champions League trophy under Sir Alex Ferguson. The Red Devils already had an impressive summer in regards to bringing in more talent, signing Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.

Although Ronaldo is in the twilight years of his career, his ability to score goals is still evident. He netted 29 times last term for Juventus, which led Serie A. It's going to be very interesting to see if Cristiano Ronaldo can help United win the Premier League and maybe even the UCL. Nonetheless, Conor McGregor will definitely be watching and cheering on his boyhood club.
