Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper is in the midst of another Pro Bowl campaign as the top option in the passing game. However, it would be wise not to remind him of his No. 1 status in the receiving corps.

That is because wide receiver Michael Gallup is in the midst of a breakout year of his own while serving as the complementary option. Cooper took exception to Gallup being called a No. 2 option, via David Helman of the team's official website:

“First of all, I don't see Gallup as a No. 2 receiver, I see him as a No. 1 receiver – especially with the things that he's done, this only being his second year, making all the plays he's making. So, I forgot the question. I blanked out when you called him a No. 2 receiver.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to his comments. Gallup has managed to look the part of a No. 1 wideout on several occasions throughout the 2019 NFL season and appears to now be a safe bet to out-produce Cooper in any given week.

The former third-round pick enjoyed some solid production as a rookie while still finding his footing. He now has a chance to register his first 1,00-yard campaign with 42 receptions for 678 yards and three touchdowns heading into Week 12.

Despite Cooper's modesty, there is still no question that he remains as the No. 1 wideout for quarterback Dak Prescott and has played a central role in the surging passing game. Regardless, there is no question that the pair are making their case for being one of the most talented receiving duos in the league thanks to their efforts this year.
