It is no secret that the Dallas Cowboys have undergone some significant changes this NFL offseason. However, it seems the high expectations for each year remains the same.

At least, that is how cornerback Byron Jones feels. He said during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio that the Cowboys have Super Bowl expectations for the 2018 NFL season.

“We thrive off the pressure to win every year and we love that. That is part of the game and that is what we live for. When you start this early preparation process for 2018 the goal is to win a Super Bowl and there is no doubt about that.”

It goes without saying that Jones' comments may seem a bit far-fetched. However, they are indicative of how the rest of the organization feels going up to the very top. Team owner Jerry Jones has not been shy about expressing his bitterness over the Philadelphia Eagles winning Super Bowl LII. That said, he has been adamant about keeping the expectations high in Dallas.

Regardless, the Cowboys have their work cut out for them. Dallas parted ways with two of their top receiving options from last year in wideout Dez Bryant and tight end Jason Witten. It remains to be seen who will fill the voids in quarterback Dak Prescott's passing attack.

Fortunately, they are a bit more stable on the defensive side of the ball. Jones has been tasked with switching positions to safety after spending the first three years of his career at cornerback. He will need to do his part in making sure the Cowboys can bounce back from their disappointing 2017 campaign.
