On Tuesday, America was shaken to its core after a horrific act of violence took place in a school. It left 19 children and two teachers dead after a complete coward opened fire on innocent lives. People reacted across the nation offering their condolences to the families involved. Additionally, many have spouted for stricter gun control as the US Government has done nothing but sit on its hands. After the tragic incident, Dallas Cowboys star quarterback, Dak Prescott, shares his take on the situation.
According to Michael Gehlken, Prescott shares his take, as the gun violence that has ensued in America makes the Cowboys quarterback, “fearful to have children.” It's saddening and frustrating having to continuously see breaking news of public shootings. There have been several incidences in May alone. Based on the history of gun violence in America, there is bound to be more.

Nobody should ever be fearful of having children. However, that's the America we live in right now. Gun violence has gotten completely out of hand and it's time for a change. Those in power have yet to find a reasonable solution, even though this is the only country that experiences crimes like these. The Cowboys quarterback seems legitimately heartbroken, as Dak Prescott expresses his fears about what is happening in this country.
Hopefully, one day these horrific crimes will disappear. However, with the government's lack of action over the years, it's hard to rely on the leaders of the nation. For now, Prescott's fears remain valid, as the Cowboys quarterback shares an opinion that many share across the country.
