It appears as though the Dallas Cowboys are interested in a reunion this offseason. However, it remains to be seen as to whether or not veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley is interested in the same.

According to Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones, the once-heralded franchise has interest in bringing the free agent wideout back to Dallas before the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

“Cowboys [executive vice president] Stephen Jones said he expects Allen Hurns to remain on the roster and be ready to go by training camp,” writes Jon Machota of the Dallas News. “Jones said they want Cole Beasley to re-sign but if he doesn’t, Hurns will be an option at slot receiver.”

Interestingly enough, though, Beasley had some interesting things to say about the reigning NFC East champion Cowboys earlier in the offseason. As a result, a potential reunion doesn't appear to be that likely, and even if he were to return to Dallas, Beasley has definitely created quite a weird situation for himself inside the locker room.

“Honestly, the front office pushes who they want to get the ball to,” Beasley now infamously tweeted. “I haven’t been a huge priority in that regard. Maybe that will change but I’m not sure. More balls come my way in 2 minute drill where nothing is planned.”

Although the Cowboys once again seem to be on the upswing, Dallas will certainly be forced to find itself a viable slot receiver this offseason — whether it is Beasley or someone else.
