The Dallas Cowboys are prioritizing quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper in extension talks, but they have also engaged in discussions with running back Ezekiel Elliott and both sides are on the same page, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Elliott is entering 2019 with two years remaining on his current deal and is scheduled to make $3.9 million this coming season.

The 23-year-old is coming off of a spectacular 2018 campaign in which he played all 16 games and racked up a league-leading 1,434 yards and six touchdowns on the ground while averaging 4.7 yards per carry. In addition, he hauled in 77 receptions for 567 yards and three scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Elliott, who played his collegiate football at Ohio State, was originally selected by the Cowboys with the fourth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He burst on to the scene during his rookie year, finishing with an NFL-best 1,631 yards while reaching the end zone 15 times as a rusher, catching 32 passes for 363 yards and a touchdown. He not only made the Pro Bowl, but was also named a First-Team All-Pro.

Elliott was then limited to just 10 contests the following season due to a six-game suspension, but when he was on the field, he totaled 983 yards and seven scores while snaring 26 balls for 269 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Dallas won 10 games and captured the NFC East division title this past season. The Cowboys then went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.
