Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, who recently signed a three-year deal with the team, blasted owner Jerry Jones for not making a statement about the ongoing racial injustice in the U.S.

It don't look good, I'll say that,” McCoy said on ESPN's NFL Live, via Ed Werder. “It doesn't look good, and you can't be silent at a time like this. I'm new to the Cowboys organization, and I'm blessed to be part of this organization. . . . But when things are not going well for the team, you can hear him screaming. Well, this is life. This is bigger than just football, it's bigger than money, it's bigger than winning a Super Bowl. And something needs to be said.”

Just recently, the Cowboys organization released a video featuring players and local law enforcement discussing racial injustice. There were a handful of Dallas players that were seen in the video; however, there was no appearance from Jones.

Jones, who's one of the NFL's most prominent owners, is not known to keep quiet about issues. With that said, it's quite unusual for the Cowboys boss to stay silent — especially in a time where his voice will make an impact.

Gerald McCoy is not the only one to call out Jerry Jones for keeping quiet. Former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant and San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman also criticized the NFL franchise owner for turning a blind eye on the issue.

As for the NFL, they'll be donating $250 million over 10 years to a fund to combat systemic racism.
