Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is one of the best at his position in the NFL. And now it appears he's taking jabs at some of his fellow elite players, specifically Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

According to Joseph Zucker of Bleacher Report, McCoy had some thoughts on Brady and his battle against Father Time:

“His supporting cast was not what it has been in the past, and I know, you know, you hear Shannon Sharpe always say, ‘This guy, if you looked in the dictionary, if it says do more with less, you should see Tom Brady’. Yes, but that’s younger Tom Brady, where he wasn’t older, his arm was still strong … You know, his body was still up to par. He’s gotten older. And I think people forget, Father Time is undefeated, even for Tom Brady.

“Muhammad Ali, Father Time kicked in. I know LeBron, I don’t know where he came from, he’s not from Earth. I don’t know where he came from, but Father Time has not kicked in with him yet. Father Time kicks in for everybody. Do I believe Tom Brady is still a winning quarterback? Absolutely. Do I believe Tom Brady can win 10-plus games? Absolutely. Is it yet to be seen? I don’t know.”

Many people have  said this before about Brady before. And every single time someone tries to claim the “Father Time” argument with Brady in the past, he makes them eat their words. That could be the case for the Cowboys defender.

However, McCoy is also quick to give Brady his credit. But he knows that no one wins the battle against Father Time. Even the greats end up feeling the effects of age at some point. McCoy, though, also alludes to the fact that Brady might not have the same arm strength either.

Brady is 42 years old heading into his first season with the Buccaneers, while McCoy formerly played for Tampa Bay from 2010 through 2018; he spent 2019 with the Carolina Panthers before joining the Cowboys this offseason. He's seen many players come and go.

McCoy does believe that Brady could still win 10-plus games. But he also knows that age will catch up to the quarterback at some point.
