The Dallas Cowboys may have lost some key players this offseason, but team owner Jerry Jones is not one bit worried. In fact, he remains confident about the team's ability to make the playoffs and contend for the title.

During Tuesday's media availability, Jones opened up about his thoughts on the Cowboys roster after losing the likes of Amari Cooper, Randy Gregory and Cedrick Wilson Jr. While they are certainly big losses, the 79-year-old billionaire thinks the team they have now is comparable to the squad that won the NFC East title in 2021.

Jones sees the team easily getting to the playoffs as well, though hopefully with better results.

“I think we can very easily be where we were last year talent-wise,” Jones said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic.

“I'm not willing to concede at all that by the time we get to the playoffs this coming year that we won't be every bit the team that we had going into the playoffs last year.”

The Cowboys finished with a 12-5 record in the 2021 season. Unfortunately, they bowed out in the Wild Card round against the San Francisco 49ers.

Sure enough, fans will love to see Jerry Jones show more ambition for the Cowboys after years of playoff failure. The team hasn't won the Super Bowl in nearly three decades now, and for the so-called America's Team, anything less than a championship is a bust.

Hopefully, Dak Prescott, DeMarcus Lawrence and the rest of Dallas can walk the talk and compete for the Lombardi Trophy come Super Bowl LVII.
