The Dallas Cowboys took down the Washington Football Team in their Week 14 showdown, and it's all thanks to Micah Parsons and their defense.

Washington fell to 24-0 in the first half against the Cowboys, and despite a fiery comeback in the second half, it was not enough to take down Mike McCarthy's men. Parsons and the Dallas defense carried much of the workload, as they forced four turnovers and pulled off five sacks in the contest.

Parsons himself was sensational, accounting for two sacks on Washington QB Taylor Heinicke and forcing a fumble once.

Despite the brilliant play from the Cowboys' defense, Parsons warned everyone that it is not yet the best they can do. In fact for the rookie, it's just the beginning of better things to come for America's team.

“The best is yet to come. I think this is just the beginning,” Parsons said of their defense, per Jon Machota of The Athletic.

The Cowboys have a solid passing and rushing game, but it is certainly their defense that has been the difference-maker so far this 2021.

Micah Parsons and Co. improved to 9-4 on the season with the win against the Washington Football Team, but if they want to keep competing–especially in the playoffs–they will need to remain consistent on both sides of the ball.

Dallas faces the New York Giants next in Week 15, and hopes are high their defense can show up once again.
