The Dallas Cowboys were awaiting the voting results of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement and they may be disappointed in the outcome. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the new CBA changes how Dallas can approach the contracts of Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper.

Under the previous CBA, teams were given the opportunity to use two franchise tags. However, with the new CBA being ratified, teams are now limited to only one franchise tag this offseason.

As a result, teams like the Cowboys — that have multiple candidates for the tag — have to make a decision on who to use the tag on. Of course, Dallas would prefer to get long-term deals in place with Prescott and Cooper.

But with free agency scheduled to begin on Wednesday, the likeliness of that happening are extremely low. Over a month ago, there were reports that the Cowboys could use their franchise tag on Prescott. Since the quarterback position is vital to a team's success, it would make sense for him the be the recipient of the tag.

While the tag situation could make things tricky, each team could see an increase in cap space with the new CBA. Provided that, the Cowboys could have enough money to retain both this offseason.

Besides the Cowboys, the Tennessee Titans are another team that could be affected by the new CBA. The Titans, similar to Dallas, have to make decisions on Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry. Regardless of what the Cowboys and Titans choose to do, they have until Monday to utilize their franchise tags.
