Trevon Diggs was a man on mission heading to the Dallas Cowboys' Week 16 game against the Washington Football Team. The mission? Stamp his status as the Defensive Player of the Year.

His brother, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs, revealed as much on Sunday after the Cowboys cornerback recorded his first interception of the game and 11th of the season.

According to the Bills wideout, Trevon told him before the game that he is going to “stamp it today” before using the hashtag #DPOY, hinting that the Cowboys star planned all along to showcase he is the rightful Defensive Player of the Year.

For what it's worth, Trevon Diggs did not waste any time showing it, as he intercepted the ball from Taylor Heinicke early in the game. Stefon Diggs, for his part, couldn't believe what his brother just did.

The Cowboys got off to an explosive start, thanks in large part to their offense and defense clicking on all cylinders. They finished the first half 42-7, tying the franchise record for the most points in a half. More amazingly, they last did it in 1969.

With the way the Cowboys are playing and how Diggs has succeeded so far, he certainly deserves DPOY considerations alongside teammate Micah Parsons.

It remains to be seen if Diggs' recent play will convince voters, but he has certainly given his all to make a solid case.
